Are you a go-getter who’s motivated to tackle clutter and get organized, but you’re stuck on where to start? Maybe hiring a professional organizer to come to your home to do the work, just isn’t in the cards right now. But you know you need guidance, structure, and expert input! You're not alone. Many people want to take charge of their own spaces, but the process can feel daunting. Without a clear starting point, strategy, or direction, even the most motivated among us can hit a wall. That’s exactly where  DIY Organizing  comes in.   WHAT IS DIY ORGANIZING? There are a couple of different ways that a professional organizer may approach DIY Organizing for a client: Virtual or in-person strategizing and planning. Virtual DIY organizing is through video conferencing (Zoom, FaceTime, Google Meet, or Teams). You will work one-on-one with a professional organizer who can “see” your space without stepping foot in your home. Together you will walk through your s...

Just the thought of parting with sentimental items can cause some folks to feel deep guilt and sadness. I promise, it is OK to feel this way, and it is also OK to let things go. Once “things” are removed from our space that we simply don’t want there anymore, the missing of it quickly goes away. Speaking from a lot of experience, I can tell you that there is a fresh breath of life when one declutters, even of items that I and others I’ve worked with thought would feel devastated about parting with.   There are 3 hurdles that we can face w...
